Our Story

Two generations.
One great adventure.

In July 2027, father and son Nick and Alfie Bourne will set off on a 1,700 km self-supported cycling expedition across Kenya, from Nairobi to Mombasa.

For Nick, it marks a return to a continent he has already crossed twice. For Alfie, it is the beginning of a new chapter — having just finished his A levels, he will head to Stellenbosch after the ride for ten months of rugby and study before university.

The journey reconnects Nick with his old friend David Kinjah, founder of Safari Simbaz, who helped develop the route and will join from Limuru to Naivasha with his son Buji.

This time, it's not about breaking records. It's about the places they'll discover, the people they'll meet and the experiences they'll share.
